The First Kazakhstan Rural Women’s Forum,
about which we announced in April of this year, was immediately supported by Mayra Arapovna Ayssina, a deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the IV-VI convocations.
And she immediately agreed to head the organizing committee of the Forum, for which we are very grateful!
Mayra Arapovna, as a member of the Board of Trustees of the IO “Expo & Women”, supports all our initiatives and takes part in most of our events. She is the ideological inspirer of the large project “Coca-Cola belesteri”, whose goal is to support unemployed and self-employed rural women through their involvement in entrepreneurial activities. This project is being implemented by Public Foundation “Social Dynamics” (head Elena Ozhgo) in partnership with ULE “Coalition for Green Economy and Development of G-Global” (Project Manager – Askhat Suleymenov, Executive Director of “Coalition”) since 2012. IO “Expo & Women” also takes an active part in this project.
Analyzing our activities specifically in working with rural women, we came to the understanding that the republican calendar of events does not have such a big event that would become a kind of platform for demonstrating the achievements and contribution of women in the implementation of the State Program for the Development of the Agro-Industrial Complex and their motivation.
Today rural women of Kazakhstan make up more than 52% of all the inhabitants of the villages of the republic, and they play a significant role in food production, in the development of stability in rural areas. Therefore, according to the Concept of the event, the Forum will promote the motivation of women, as well as their involvement in the green economy through the acquisition of green technologies and the introduction of organic agriculture and various forms of rural employment.
Preparation for the forum began in April, letters were sent to various state bodies, and today we can state that the forum is supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the RK, the Ministry of National Economy of the RK, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the RK, the Ministry of Social Development of the RK, the Ministryof information and communications of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Commission for Women and Family and Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
We have serious international partners who are ready to give us sponsorship. This is the Eurasian Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the OSCE Office in Astana. Negotiations are underway with a number of other organizations.
The letters signed by Mayra Arapovna were also sent to all mayors of the regions, and today we have confirmation of their readiness to send delegates to the forum, there are almost all regions.
Now we go on a more detailed preparation for the forum. The business and cultural program of the forum is specified, lists of speakers and honorable guests of the forum, venue, etc. are specified.
Taking the opportunity, we want to report the following.
- The First Kazakhstan Rural Women’s Forum will be held on November 1-2, 2018. The postponement of the dates is connected with some objective reasons.
- We ask all secretaries of the regional commissions for women and family and demographic policy to contact us (+7 (7172) -999-401) or by e-mail: email@example.com
- We invite to partnership all those who have a professional attitude towards agriculture and those who simply want to support the village and rural women. We are open for cooperation and are ready to consider your business proposals!
