Get acquainted with the guest and the speaker of a panel session “Women in science, innovations and business” on AEF 2019, Aleksandra Akkirman is the government and public relations manager at the Istanbul office of the Coca-Cola company, our old partner in the joint project in involvement of rural women in business.

Aleksandra Akkirman works at regional office of the Coca-Cola company (Istanbul) since November, 2016 and also Central Asia is responsible for external and internal communications, maintenance of the relations with public authorities and NGO and also for implementation of projects on sustainable development and social responsibility of the company in eight countries of the region Caucasus.

One of global educational projects in which Aleksandra together with colleagues is engaged worldwide is the long-term educational project “Coca-Cola Belestery”. In Kazakhstan he acts since 2012 and UNDP, “Coalition for green economy and development of G-Global”, EXPO&WOMEN, is supported by Social Dynamics Fund, other organizations.

During this time more than 11,100 women were trained to bases of business, financial literacy, got acquainted with tools on development of “green” technologies which are successfully applied in the conditions of the Kazakhstan villages.

Thanks to financial support of the program in Kazakhstan, already 51 women opened and successfully develop the business on means from Coca-Cola Fund. The number of new jobs which opened winners of a competition at the enterprises reached 130. This year 10 winners of a competition on the best business idea “Coca-Cola Belestery” will receive grants from Coca-Cola Fund on opening of the business. The competition is available to all women of Kazakhstan online (more detailed information can be found on the official site of the program).

The project is a long-term initiative of Coca-Cola company 5by20 within which by 2020 it is planned to involve in business 5 million women by providing to an opportunity participation in business trainings, obtaining financial knowledge and skills and also access to sources of initial financing worldwide.

The professional way of Aleksandra impresses. She has degree of the Master of mathematical and applied linguistics of philological faculty of St. Petersburg State University and now receives degree of the Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Bradford University, Great Britain.

During 2002-2006 Aleksandra worked in the research company Nielsen — at first as the marketing manager and to communications of the Russian division in Moscow, and then as the communications manager in countries of Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa in the regional headquarters in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Before arrival to Coca-Cola, from 2007 to 2016, Aleksandra directed department of corporate communications of the Swedish telecommunication company “TeliaSonera” in the region Eurasia where the company owned mobile operators. In the regional headquarters of “TeliaSonera” to Istanbul, Aleksandra was responsible for external and internal communications, projects on sustainable development and corporate social responsibility and also gave support in implementation of the large-scale program in the field of Ethics and Respect for Norms in seven countries: Azerbaijan, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Nepal, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
