Akmola region produces environmentally clearly fuel

In Burabay district of Akmola region opened a plant for the production of environmentally safe

biofuel-wood pellets. Production of pellets from forestry waste is engaged in the local enterprise LLP “Orman aimagy”, reports the portal Matritca.kz with reference to the Regional communications service of the Department of internal policy.

Orman aimagi LLP is the first enterprise in Kazakhstan which is engaged in production of environmentally friendly fuel. The first plant was commissioned in Petropavlovsk. In Burabay district the plant was opened in November 2017. And has already produced 500 tons of wood pellets. And production capacity of the enterprise in a year makes 3000 tons of fuel.

The head of the company Andrey Petrochenko said that pellets have long been used as fuel in European countries, the USA, Japan, Russia and it appeared about 60 years ago.

“Wood pellets are a high-calorie fuel. Its efficiency is 95%, while coal, for example, 50%, gas – 30%. Two tons of pellets for heat transfer are similar to coal, can replace a ton of expensive diesel fuel or liquefied gas”, – said A. Petrochenko.
The cost of one ton of biofuel is 35 thousand tenge. And according to Petrochenko A. the demand is growing every day. In addition, the company sells environmentally friendly fuel not only in the Republic, but also exports to China.

The alternative fuel project was implemented with the founder’s own money. The opening of the plant in Akmola region cost 120 million tenge.
